As cliche as it sounds, let's make 2019 a better year. Let's claim it as the year for more ... more risk, more faith, more opportunities and more possibilities. Let's make a pact to step out on faith and be who God has called us to be, no matter how scary it may seem.
Think of your favorite celebrity or someone you look up to. They didn't get where they are today playing it safe. They got where they are because they put their head down and did the work. They didn't make any excuses, they made plans and followed through. This is the year of the follow through, the execution, and the year of the #gogetter.
You are what you think you are and you can do whatever you believe you can do, it's that simple. Be honest with yourself, what's holding you back from being the best version of yourself and going after your dreams? Not to be cliche or anything, but make this a "new year, new me" type of year where you stop doubting yourself and start believing in the dreams and passions that God has placed within you.
Have you ever had a feeling that there's more to your life and that you're not living up to your full potential? It's a feeling in your gut and a nagging thought that won't go away that continually reminds you that you're meant for bigger and better things. You're not imagining it, this is confirmation that whatever your heart desires, it's time to go after it.
So you've written down your goals and you've prayed on it, what's next? It's time to move in silence and do the work. Network, collaborate, and study. Put in the time and work it will take to get where you want to be. Don't make excuses, make a way. It's not about having a perfect journey, but an honest journey. Your journey will be your testimony, it will be what sets you a part.
Don't focus on what everyone else is doing. Focus in on what you're doing. Focus on the vision that God gave you. If God gave you the vision, He will give you the provision. It won't be easy. There will be good days and bad days, but it'll be worth it.
Think about it like this. When you look back on your life, what do you want to be remembered for? What do you want to be your legacy? Whatever that is, write it down, pray on it, and look at it everyday until you get to that point. This year, we're not making excuses, we're making plans. It's the year of the #gogetter in all areas. From love, career, travel, and relationships. We aren't taking any prisoners, we're taking names and coming to shut it down all 2019.
